I wanted to see concert footage other than the all too well known Bucharest dvd with footage that showed more of the audience than Michael and his band (except when they were doing dance moves.) While that DVD is good it's not the Michael I like to see performing nor the Michael I am used to seeing perform. This particular DVD concert footage doesn't have the familiar song lineup. Not too much out the norm but there are songs from the J5 days. Not just the cute little J5's medley (I'll be there, I want you back, The love you save, etc.) but the young adult J5's. Songs like 'It's the things I do for you', 'Shake your body down', 'Lovely one' and 'Heartbreak Hotel'.

This is more of the type of concert I like because he not only danced his butt off but he sings too. Many people forget he could actually sing...and well! He mixes up his dance moves but he doesn't forget to sing here and it's a real treat. Although, by the time he gets to 'Billy Jean' he's a little winded from... Read more

Been a Michael fan as long as I can remember hearing the Jackson Five. I'm guessing aroung 1975. I've seen Michael perform a song or two live over the years, but other than the very short Destiny Tour on VHS, and the lip-synched Dangerous DVD, this is by far the best Michael concert I've ever seen. Michael sings very well with absolutely no lip-synching at all. The band is tight, the dancers are on point. Michael looks good and healthy, and is in fine form. Great energy from him throughout, especially given the often rapid pace of his dancing and singing. Set list was the best I've ever personally seen from him. Dangerous Tour DVD had too many songs I didn't really care for. This is the Michael I know and loved. I will admit the picture quality could have been better. There were a few brief minor gliches and lasted maybe a split second. For the most part everything looked good. There were enough close-ups for me personally. No 5.1 audio, but the stereo sound played well on by tv and... Read more

I enjoyed watching Michael Jackson perform some of his all-time greatest hits. This DVD contained outdoor concert performances during Jackson's 1987 "Bad Tour." Michael performed two concert dates while he was in Yokohama, Japan. (Note: Michael's "Bad" album wasn't released until August 31, 1987 which contained the song, "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" -- towards the end of "Shake Your Body Down," a caption was listed for Yokohama Stadium, Sept 26, 1987). The "Bad Tour" was Jackson's first solo tour (without his brothers), so this concert footage clearly wasn't recorded in "1985." Michael's magical showmanship is undeniable during his energetic performances.

Sheryl Crow is featured as one of Jackson's back-up singers. She accompanied Michael in a duet, singing "I Just Can't Stop Loving You." I thought they performed well together on stage. The DVD's overall picture and sound is not top quality, but its still worth it to have in your Michael Jackson collection. The... Read more

This is the only Michael Jackson solo LP that I'm writing a review for since it best encapsulates my favorite genre of music: Pop/R&B. Instead of just talking about how good the music is (just read the rest of the reviews for that), I'll attempt to provide some insight on just what makes 'Off The Wall' so special. Read on:

First of all, MJ wrote three of the songs on this album; two of them are among his greatest, and that says a lot about the sheer talent emerging from the 'Gloved One' at that point in time. They are: "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough", "Working Day and Night", and "Get On The Floor".

Secondly, Rod Temperton wrote two of the other amazing tracks on this album; they are: "Rock With You" and the title track, "Off The Wall". Temperton also wrote the closing track, "Burn This Disco Out" ; but please allow me to give a little background info on this underappreciated songwriter/producer.

        Rod Temperton was... Read more

With all the headlines about plastic surgeries, melting faces, questionable parenting practices and voodoo contracts on entertainment moguls, it's easy to forget just how talented Michael Jackson was (is?)

I found this in my CD collection and popped it in. As a result, I remembered why I had a crush on Michael all thru my childhood and teenage years. Listening to tracks such as Off the Wall, Don't Stop Til You Get Enuf and Rock With You shows the true scope of a gifted performer who apparently got too caught up in his own publicity.

I've always considered Off the Wall a far superior work to Thriller and all subsequent Michael Jackson productions. The combination of Jackson, Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton provided the 80s with the best R&B. To those who only became aware of Jackson during his Thriller fame, I suggest you buy this CD as well as some Motown Jackson 5 compiliations. It will answer questions of why he became famous in the first place.

It's unbelievable, but before "Off The Wall," Donny Osmond was a bigger star than Michael. That all change in the late 70's,when one of the greatest pop albums came out. Everyone was shocked. This was the first time 4 songs made the top 10.Michael broke his own record with "Thriller" a couple years later."Don't Stop 'Til you get enough" is one of my favorites, along with "Off the Wall." Michael did most of the background singing himself, and wrote alot of the singles released.Everyone thought this would be the album Jackson would be remembered for the rest of his life.

First I would like to say that this game was a lot of fun. I got it yesterday and played it for an hour and was sweating so much it was crazy. If you're a MJ fan, then this is the perfect game for you. I danced, I sang, then I danced some more. Interesting enough it wasn't hard to follow the moves from the pictograms or even MJ himself because they depicted his signature moves. I'm totally in love with this game.

Now for the bad... unlocking training videos, really? Training and warm/up videos should have been a feature that is available to the user before they begin attempting the dance moves and not something that the user gets after he has attempted the dance moves. The next thing that I found annoying was that I had to enter my name each time I completed a song. I should have been assigned a avatar/user at the beginning of the game to eliminate this need.

Overall, BIG FUN!!! But, I couldn't in good conscience give this game the full five stars... Read more

I used to like video games, way back when, but never wanted a Wii since I figured there wasn't anything I'd want to play. I hate violent shoot 'em up, or beat 'em down type games, which seems like what most have devolved into. But then I heard about Michael Jackson The Experience, and went right out the next day and bought a Wii! I guess celebrity endorsements really do work -- especially when it's a celebrity of this caliber!

Michael Jackson and Wii are the perfect match -- they fit like a sequined glove; hence why they included one with this game. Silly enough, there's a disclaimer to not wear the glove while playing. I guess they're afraid of lawsuits if the remote slips out of your sequined hand and into something valuable. The glove itself is pretty cheap and barely fits my hand, but it's still a very cool memento.

Both MJ's moves and his music lend themselves exceedingly well to a game like this. And when I saw the trailer for the game, I was... Read more

This game is amazing. Its like just dance but way better. But you will definately need some elbow room to play this game so put your sofa in the hallway take down your pictures on the wall lamps etc....just kidding. But this game is a must have. The only song that is missing is Dancing Machine i kinda wanted to do the robot.
